Seven Funds and Cogan Realty have been enlisted by the Martin family to explore options for the sale and/or joint venture redevelopment of the famous Roland Martin Marina in Clewiston, FL. Owned and operated by the Martin family for over forty years the marina has become the headquarters for bass fishing in the US. The marina has been profitable throughout the decades, but now that it has entered the second and third generations of family stewardship the Martin's believe it needs new features and amenities to maximize its potential for the next forty years. Seven Funds has worked with the family for several years to help them evaluate highest and best uses and consider all of their options. Although the family is willing to remain active in the operation and even be a partner in redevelopment efforts, they also understand a developer may want to acquire it outright. Seven Funds is arranging confidential meetings with several developers and end users that have expressed an interest. The marina's strategic location halfway between Ft. Meyers and Palm Beach make it compelling for a mixed-use development which could include including a hotel, entertainment complex, apartments, restaurants, and mixed retail, as well as various commercial boating and fishing operations. There are currently over 100 boat slips with room to more than double that and nearly twenty acres of land for other uses.
